Sharon’s entrepreneurial roots run deep. Her passion for helping small businesses began in childhood, when her family owned several local businesses, including bookstores and women’s clothing shops. That early experience gave her firsthand insight into what it takes to manage, adapt, and grow a business.
Today, Sharon provides outsourced CFO and controller services to small and mid-sized businesses. Drawing on decades of experience in family-owned businesses and global companies such as Mobil, General Electric, and Ernst & Young, she helps business owners strengthen their financial operations, understand their numbers, and make more confident decisions.
Sharon has an instinct for identifying the financial challenges and opportunities that growing businesses face. Her experience includes general ledger accounting, cash flow improvement, inventory management, QuickBooks® training and implementation, financial reporting systems, regulatory filings, and accounting software conversions—including a QuickBooks®-to-PCLaw conversion for a law firm.
She has supported businesses and organizations across manufacturing, professional services, clean technology, legal services, banking, telecommunications, oil and gas, and the nonprofit sector. Every engagement is tailored to the client’s needs, whether they require ongoing financial guidance, clearer reporting, stronger accounting processes, or help preparing for their next stage of growth.
Before starting her own company, Sharon served as controller for a publicly traded clean technology company and as vice president of finance for a nonprofit organization. Earlier in her career, she held financial roles ranging from auditor to planning manager at Mobil, General Electric, Phelps Dodge, and Ernst & Young.
Sharon is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University and an MBA in Finance from Pace University. She is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Connecticut Society of CPAs.
Outside of work, Sharon enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and traveling. One of her favorite experiences was visiting Tuscany, where she practiced yoga on the beach.
